Desmopan® thermoplastic polyurethane features linear polymer chains composed of alternating flexible and rigid segments. The elastic segments have a low glass transition temperature, while the crystalline segments have a high melting point. By varying these phases, a wide range of properties such as hardness, strength, stiffness, elasticity, and low-temperature flexibility can be achieved. The material is inherently soft, thus eliminating the need for plasticizers.
